| Drawing shapes on the ocx I've been through the help and the only example given is to create the shape using the co-ordinates AFTER the User has clicked them. I've started writing code where the User defines the shape to be drawn, we then grab the location of clicks as they occur and hold them in an array and then use these values to draw the shape when the User double clicks on the map. I can't believe this there is no way of telling the Map to adopt a certain drawing tool as in the toolbar in MapPoint itself. Can someone please tell me if this can be done !! Thanks again Rob |

Check out the code I posted in this thread: http://www.mp2kmag.com/mappoint/disc...pic.asp?t=3327 Un comment the line below so it will draw the shape. 'objmap.Shapes.AddPolyline objLocs

Thanks for the response but this wasn't really what I was meaning. What I'm trying to do is have the shape draw real time. For example, if we're drawing a polyline, clicking once would start the draw, clicking again would stop and draw the first line and start a second and so on until we've drawn the shape and finish it with a double click or something. Is there no easy way to do this or recreate the PolyLine tool in MapPoint ? If not I'd see this as quite a weakness in the ocx. |
