MapControl1.Visible = True
MapControl1.NewMap geoMapNorthAmerica

"MapPoint North America can't run because it is not registered on your system, or it can't be found. Install MapPoint North America and try again. I can't create an object using the MapPoint Object Library either."

I have installed Mappoint North America Twice now.

Hi, Really stupid question: Have you actually run the program after installing it?

I sometimes use evaluation versions of mappoint when developing. I know that immediately after installation, VB can not access the mappoint files because mappoint needs to be run from the start menu in the first instance. Once you have agreed to the license, and told it to register later it behaves properly. Additionally, this situation applies for each different user who logs on to the machine and uses your VB program.

Hope this is useful to you.

Chris
