Hello,

I'm beginer with Mappoint and I have some problems.
I use the activeX with Visual C++. When I create an ActiveX of mappoint , help appears when I click on the right top corner (on the "microsoft mappoint" icon). So I would to disable this icon and the help witch comes with?

Hi Laurent,

2 problems

You cannot disable the Icon in C# and you cannot disable the help that comes with.

Workarounds ? There always are

What you maybe can do is intercept the mouse click if user click on the logo. You can use BeforeClick event, calculate the XY prosition of the mouse pointer, and if it is on the logo then just cancel it. I did never tryed this but should be not any problem.

In fact, I want to use Mappoint in a commercial application, so it's better if the logo doesn't appears.
But how to intercept message in Mappoint (BeforeClick, AfterRedraw)? All exemples I found are in VB or C# not in C++ (They is a topic for this subjet but no solution has been found). In fact with the AfterRedraw event I can hide the logo with my self logo.

If you program in Delphi there is no logo

Seems this is the only exception...

My problem is that I don't know how to implement event handler in C++. Exemples are in VB or C#.

is it not possible to installe the ActiveX componentin C++ IDE ? Because then it is a matter ofmouse clicking. I do not know how to dothis manually in C++
