Importing Lat Long Data to MapPoint2002

Relatively new to MapPoint2002. But have already used it to map all kinds of EPA data (e.g., facilities by hazardous substance or toxic material of concern/interest) for use by law enforcement personnel. Obviously, not for public use or consumption.

I have an EPA water data set in Excel that has about 35,000 rows of LAT and LONG columns of information that will not map. Anybody have any idea as to what I'm doing wrong (or need to do to get it to work)? The LAT and LONG shows in MapPoint2002 as key fields selected for import. Upon execution, it scrolls through all the rows. Yet, the data doesn't post. Thanks.

Don't know.. you might try breaking your database into smaller chunks? That may be a limitation. Also, if you're working with a U.S. dataset, be sure longtiude values are negative.
