Hi, With programming this is easy done, but with the mappoint.exe I dont know. Can you not export the dataset again ?

| Yes data can be linked again and it is done often but!!!!
I work from a spreadsheet daily so the info changes all the time except for the address & Zip of the account. When I update the link to the data (excel spreadsheet) Mappoint will sometimes not map address that I have all ready manually mapped and or mapped and moved to the correct location. The problem is manually remapping those address again and again. Is there a fix or work around for this or is it built into Mappoint? I am not a programmer, just a sales rep for a medical instrumentation company and want something simple to show accounts via Icon. Clicking on the Icon brings up all the info in the spreadsheet for that account. It works great, but info changes so updating the link is necessary. Having to manually remap accounts is not hard but its time consuming. IS programming an option that will work with my application? If so, what kind of programming. Pleases elaborate. |

Hi, Sure programming is an option with your application. Mappoint is accesable from most (if not all) programming languages. And in Excel you have the option to use VBA. For example you can make a form in VBA, put a mappoint component on it, and then the map is visible in Excel itself including programming. I cannot advice you in VBA but others can if you wants more information.
