MapPoint ActiveX Component

I am embedding the MapPoint ActiveX component in a C# application my company is developing. The only problem we have is when the application is closed, the component prompts to save the map every time. The user will never need to save the map outside what saving our program already does. Is there a way to keep the component from prompting to save every time I close my program?

Thanks in advance!

I think it's as simple as setting the Saved property to True.

hi all,

ive had the same prob so when i close the app or the component, i call the save method (axMappointControl.SaveMap() but what if i don't want to save the map. i want to ignore the changes and whenever restart the application, start with a fresh map.

(note: im using visual studio 2002 and C#)

thanks in advance.

I'm thinking that if you use a template then you can get around the saving over a map you want to use over and over. Microsoft templates are cool like that. If you open one then by default it opens a new map like the template... so no fear with the save button.
