Hi , i am trying to build an application in vb.net.I want to do pixel operations on the maps generated by mappoint 2002.For example rendering some part of map with vb.net api.How can i use .ptm files as image files. i will be thankful if anybody provide me this information.

Me too, thats the same question Id like to know the answer for.

You can save the image using the Save As HTML or copy it to the clipboard.
