Mapping College Dorms

Hi,

I'm looking into creating an application with MapPoint that maps certain information for college dorms at specific schools. My problem is that some colleges run the entire zip code and subsequent mail center so dorms and campus buildings don't have mappable street addresses. Is there anything I can do to map these buldings.

For example, Unversity of Maryland (Zip 20742) has addresses like Cumberland Hall and Denton Hall. How can I include these in a mapping application?

Thanks,
Michael Saunders

pushpins & templates

If you know the actual locations and there's not thousands of them, here's something to try:
1) Import the records using whatever geographic info you have (like zip code) in order to approximate the location, then manually move the resulting pushpins to the exact location.
2) If there were any records that could not be palced at all, create them manually.
3) Save the resulting map as a template. If you want the app to always open this view (and properly located pins), give your new template the same name as the default template (New North AMerican Map or something) and put it in the same palce as the original. Don't worry about destroying the original; you can always get it back by renaming your new tempalte something else.

Hope this helps, or opens up some new lines of thinking.
