I need to buy a Points of Interest database. We are currently not using MapPoint for our new website as it has more functionality than we needed. However, now we need a list of landmarks (museums, stadiums, universities, parks, etc.) and their corresponding zip code, city, state, and coordinates info.

Please help.

We need a table of information that contains:
1. Points of Interests or Landmarks (Malls, stadiums, museums, parks, attractions, etc.)
2. Address, City, State
3. Lat/Long coordinates

We can take the data from there and use it for our quoting engine.

Aah ok. Maybe some of the people here have already sutch database, it is not difficult to create with mappoint. You need it for Europ or US ?

I've discovered how to pull the MapPoint POI list but I'm hesitant to do so because it doesn't seem legal or ethical. There are several lines in the End User License Agreement that seem to say that using their POI info for our needs separate to MapPoint would violate the agreement.

Hi,

Yes I recall there is some very obscure statement in the points of interest in the user agreement which I did not understeand the reason froml.. Maybe someone else can explain the reason ?
