| we are using mappoint to get distances for our routing application. We use the mappoint.route.calculate method. But its ben real slow to get the results back. Has anyone used mappoint app, in a 3rd party app primarly for distances? If so any input on improving the speed of the application to get the distances quicker is appreciated. Thanks Ravi         |

Our main app is written in vC++, but mp2000 still has lot of issues when trying to integrate the ocx file in VC++, so used vb just for the mp. does anybody know if "distance" method is faster than "calculate"? or "distance" method is crow-fly distances? Ravi akkiraju |

Hi, I am having the same problem. If MapPoint 2002 calculates the distance it needs appr. 2 seconds. When I use an OLEContainer in Delphi a calculation takes 20 seconds or so. Do you also use Delphi or another ? Ton |
