MapPoint 2002 in VB6 "Program is not responding"

I use a MapPoint 2002 on my ActiveX control (VB6). When I right click on pushpin the menu comes up. I wait few seconds and I get the message:

"This action cannot be completed because the "" is not responding. Choose "switch to" and correct the problem."
or
"This action cannot be completed because the "MyOCX" program is not responding"

Is there any way to avoid those messages? Or to find some work around to this problem.

Do you have any code in the mouse events? (MouseUp/MouseDown) or any events for that matter?

Yes, you might be able to use an on error goto statment to exit the event to clear that up.

I also wonder if doing some sort of "do events" in your code might free up the process...I've never had the need to use that command, so I'm not familiar with details of it.

Or examine which event you've coded. I've had bad results from putting my code in the wrong one.
