Joining up Government & Public Service: Dates for Launch GeoNorth 2003

GeoNorth 2003, the one-day launch showcase and seminar programme, will feature information & advice for Geographic Information (GI) strategists, practitioners and purchasers within Government and the public service. Run by the organisers of GeoSolutions 2003, GeoNorth 2003 will be held at New Century House, Manchester on the 18th March 2003.

GeoNorth 2003 will provide delegates with the opportunity to learn about GI best practice for the public sector and public service; including GI strategy, products, implementation and results driven process, through:
 Leading industry figures presenting case study led seminar sessions & masterclasses specifically tailored for the public service and public sector communities,
 The latest products and services from leading vendors, and
 Networking opportunities with leading solutions providers.

The content led seminar programme will include topics such as:
 Using GI to deliver high quality, accessible, & responsive public services
 Sharing best practise to deliver effective joined-up government
 Boosting efficiency and sharing information using the pilot pan government agreement for central government
 Data management - why good GI is crucial

Each seminar session will run for one hour, allowing delegates the time and opportunity to also meet with their peers and the exhibitors within the showcase.

Jessica Blue, Event Manager, GeoNorth 2003 explained, “GeoNorth 2003 will be the only platform for 2003 that will solely focus on geographic information applications and solutions for Government and public services departments.
