Richard Marsden assembled this guide to MapPoint 2002 symbols and the new additional symbols found in MapPoint 2004.

MapPoint 2002 symbols
Extra MapPoint 2004 symbols:
The new symbols that have been added to MapPoint 2004 have codes 256-335.
Extra number circles. These have codes 256 (‘21’) to 285 (‘50’):
Flag symbols, in colors matching the pushpins, circles, squares, etc.
These have codes 286 (black flag) to 293 (purple flag):
New currency symbols are 294 (Euro) and 295 (Yen):
40 additional map symbols have been added, from 296 (Fire truck) to 335 (Ace of Spades)
