260 Diana Bartizal - June 29, 2001

Is it possible to print a MP2002 map in a larger format to allow more detail of an area? For example, we plotted 250 employees in the City of Minneapolis and would like to print in a larger format to prevent so much crowding of detail. We would like to present a quality poster size map to the client. We do not have a plotter or large format printer on site but would like to be able to send the file electronically to a print shop. Thank you for any advice.

Answer:

Yes, call your local print shop and ask them what large format printer they have. Next, set up the appropriate driver for this printer on your PC. Then choose File>Print in MapPoint, select the large format printer, and click the "Print to File" option. Finally, put the resulting print file on a disk or email it to the print shop.
