311 Bill - August 7, 2001

I have a client who is trying to map out the most effecient routes for answering service calls. Mappoint seems to do all he needs, but he only wants to print out most effecient route, not the driving directions (i.e., Address 1, Address 2, Address 3 etc..). Is there a way to create a route and only print the route or export it to Excel or Access? Any help would be greatly appeciated!

Answer:

We're not sure we fully understand your question. MapPoint generates a map with a highlighted route, and a separate set of driving directions. You can print the map with the route separately from the driving directions.

If you want driving directions (not the map with highlighted route) but find the driving directions too detailed and verbose, you could experiment with filtering out the redundant information so you only keep the data you want. This is possible but requires some programming.

If we missed the point of your question, please provide more detail so we can help you better.
