When I imported data at the county level for MA as I imported I had to select the county match where the county name could be the same in multiple states. This can take a long time to do if you are importing data with a state such as Texas having over 200 counties with the same name in other states. Is there any way to just simply indicate in Mappoint to use all the counties in a specific state where there is a match for the county name and not have to answere which state the county should be matched to? Thank You

Answer:

They way to do this is to bring in a combination of county name and state abbreviation, not just the county name. So create a column for county names and another for state names in Excel, and put "King" in the first column and "TX" in the second. MapPoint will now know that you want King County in Texas, not Washington State.
