I am using the MapPoint ActiveX control in a VB App, and would like to know if I can programatically control the user from accessing the ocassional Hyperlink in the Nearby places "Show Information". I do not want users accessing the internet.

Answer:

I am not aware of such an option in MapPoint. You may want to do this at another level than the application, since you would need to find a way of preventing internet access for each and every internet-aware application the user might run. Consider doing this via policies or via proxy / firewall configuration. -gk
