I am currently running the MapPoint Trial. (I already have Office XP and Visio 2002). MapPoint seems like it could really help us, but the selection of maps seems limited. Does the Trial only offer limited functionality? Are there 3rd party developers who offer add-ons or enhancements?

Answer:

The MapPoint Trial version is only limited in the sense that it expires 60 days after it was installed. The functionality or map content is in no way limited or restricted.

The North American version of MapPoint 2002 includes maps for all of the US and Canada. There is also a European version of MapPoint (which needs to be purchased separately). This European version contains detailed maps (comparable to the level of detail for the US/Canada found in your trial version) for 11 Western European countries.
