369 Eric Martin - August 31, 2001

Our company currently uses Access for scheduling and dispatch of jobs to be done by techs. I am looking for a program that can show maps of areas to help my dispatchers schedule jobs closer together. Will MS MapPoint do this for me? Can I integrate it into Access?

Answer:

MapPoint contains maps for all of the US and Canada, and does great address finding, routing and drivetime zones. It also allows you to create custom territories. It can be programmed and the ActiveX Control can be embedded in your applications. And it shares the look and feel of Office applications like Access.

So, based on your brief description, I think MapPoint is what you are looking for.
