I have a client who would like me to develop a product that allows him to run multiple traveltime analysis based on impedance along a network. I'm gathering that all the components exist for this from your website. What I call Impedence, your access through the DrivingCostUnits property. I'm wondering if anyone has tried this already. Basically I'm talking about point to point pathfinding analysis, but with multiple points to multiple points. I'm sure I can figure out how to batch this. thanks

Answer:

I think you're right in concluding that MapPoint can probably do this, but as usual the only way to know for sure is to try it out yourself.

If you want to talk to people that have done similar work with MapPoint, you should try Visual Software, the makers of the RoutePointe bus routing solution (www.routepointe.com). They probably have some good experience with route optimization and accounting as their application handles this.
