I am using MapPoint 2001. I am importing data from excel that is separated into zip codes. Each zip code has a number associated with it. To display this data I am using a shaded map. Is there any way I can display the number associated with the zip code on the map underneath the zip code? If so how? The legend isn't detailed enough for my purpose.

Answer:

I think the new terrotory feature in MapPoint 2002 is the solution to your problem. This allows you to create named areas on your map and display the name right on top of each area. You can create territories automatically from your Excel file so it will be fast and painless too.
