I'm interested to know if I can get maps for Australia - specifically Queensland and New South Wales - to support a food distribution company. If MapPoint does not have an Australian version, what map formats can I import to make it work? If none, is there other software that provides MapPoint capabilities for Australia? Thanks.

Answer:

There is no Australian version of MapPoint and detailed map data for Australia in MapPoint format does not exist. It is not possible to add base maps to MapPoint - only Microsoft can do this. So, unfortunately, there is no MapPoint-based solution for your need until Microsoft provides Australian maps.
