462 Claudio - October 26, 2001

27/10/01 Thanks for your previous answer but the infos are not enougth to solve my needs. Is the problem discovered one bug? there are some fix? Do you know if there are some other european areas what are not exportable on poket street? Thanks 10/11/01 Claudio: Hi I am not able to export in pocket streets some specific part of map. The export start but at the end one msg error appears : error saving pocket street maps.....destination .. Please note that i fhave found this problem in one specific area but the export normally works fine for others parts of map. You can easily reproduce the problem if you try to export the maps of the city: BUSTO ARSIZIO Italy. Can you verify if is my problem or other? Thanks in advance Answer: You're right - this doesn't seem to work. It's not just this town, it happens in other places in Northern Italy too. There are some maps available for download at http://www.microsoft.com/pocketstreets/mapdownload/I_En.HTM but none of them cover Busto Arsizio. The Greater Milan map gets close but doesn't include this town.

Answers:

I think it is safe to say that this is a bug. Every other region I've tried seems to work, it is just this area in Northern Italy that is causing problems. I don't think there is a workaround or solution to this problem.

I'm experiencing the same problem when I try to export Vicenza city to Pocket street, but this is the same behaviour as Autoroute 2002. My software was bought bundled with some hardware, then Microsoft doesn't want to give any free support.

They do bad products and worse support!!!
