481 Tom Weigel - November 5, 2001

I've found many addresses that were not on MapPoint 2002 that I know are validate and they are also showing on an older version of Streets and Maps. Is Mappoint less detailed? How do I fix this?

Answer:

MapPoint 2002 isn't perfect, but it has the exact same base map data as Streets & Trips 2002, and a more extensive database of streets and roads than previous versions of Streets & Trips. So I'm not sure why some of your addresses would be recognized by an older version of Streets & Trips but not the current MapPoint version. The only thing I can think of is that your addresses are out of date (changed ZIP code or something like that).

Whatever the reason, there is nothing you can do to fix the situation - except waiting for the next upgrade.
