About: Street-level map for Greece. I reviewed carefully the Q&A and it seems that no solution exist to add street data for a country in MP2002-Europe. Is there any "work-around" (like using link-import feature) to have this data accessible and displayed on a map? Or more generally, can MP2002 be a solution for non MS-mapped countries? Thanks for your help.

Answer:

Generally speaking, you are right in saying that there is no solution for countries like Greece with MapPoint 2002. The road network for Greece is extremely limited, street address matching is not available, and there are no postcode or other internal boundaries in the map that you can use for creating shaded area maps.

But, if you have Greek point data with lat/lon values, you can plot these on the map, and you can import vector data from ESRI or MapInfo file format as drawing overlays (for instance, your company's sales territories or postcode areas). If this is what you mean by having "data accessible and displayed on a map", MapPoint offers what you need.
