Hi, I have been working on an application that uses an Access database for service call information that connects to Mappoint to optimize the service call route. I would like to send a demo disk to someone. Is there a way to distribute an application that uses Mappoint without having to have the full installation on the client machine (similiar to the runtime version of Microsoft Access)? Thanks for your help. William

Answer:

There is no "free runtime" similar to the Access runtime. If you create an application that uses MapPoint, you can buy licenses for redistribution. Microsoft has two licensing programs for this - a Product Integration Pack option that doesn't require a volume commitment and offers a decent discount, and the ISV Royalty Program that requires a $100,000 commitment over a 2-year period with great discounts.

You can email maplic@microsoft.com for further details.
