I want to use Mappoint in Conjunction with OMNIS (RAD Tool). Are all the COM Methods available on the ActiveX? Also can you still get a Trial Version in the UK?

Answer:

The ActiveX Control doesn't provide all the methods, but it provides most. The ones it doesn't provide are specific to controlling the UI (toolbars etc.) which don't exist in a UI-less OCX.

The ActiveX Control is certified for use within VB only. It works reasonably well with some other languages, but there could be minor and possibly major issues with a very different environment.

I think you can order trial versions via the UK Microsoft.com website. If that doesn't work, call Microsoft UK and ask fo the MapPoint product manager - that may work too.
