is it possible for map point to work out a route from the end of one route to the start of another route and the bring the result into access, also this one may seem stupid but the average speeds in the settings pane are too high is there any way i can permanently reduce these values.

Answer:

I'm not sure I fully understand the first part of your question. MapPoint can only handle one route at a time, but this route can consist of multiple segments. In other words, instead of connecting the end of one route to the start of another one, why wouldn't you connect the stops into a single multi-segment route?

With regards to the average speed question, you can use the Route > More Options menu item to enter your own speed for each of the 5 road types in MapPoint's road classification scheme (Driving Speeds tab). These settings will be persisted until you change them (or select the Reset option).
