On Mappoint 2001 or 2002 it seems the the gps information is updated about ever 30 to 45 seconds. Is it possible to change the update rate so that the icon is updated faster?
Answer:
The update happens once every 15 seconds. This obviously isn't a technical issue; it was put in Microsoft to satisfy its data vendors (NavTech specifically). The only (legal) way around it is to develop your own GPS interface in MapPoint (as a COM Add-in). Some people have actually done this. A good example is at www.techgt.com/agps/.
