I am from a medium duty truck manufacturer/distributer. We are looking to track sales by geographic location and our dealerships, defined by zip codes and areas of responsibility. We have tried mappoint in the past with no sucess, are there improvements with the lates mappoint to help us?

Answer:

It is somewhat hard to say without knowing what problems you encountered. In MapPoint 2002 you can certainly map sales by zip code. When it comes to areas of responsiblity, it depends on how those are defined. You can build territories which are based on areas like census tract, zip codes, counties, etc. If your areas of responsibility are split within these units of measure, then you will have a problem trying to construct territories.

MapPoint 2002 added a number of outstanding features, so if it has been a while since you looked at it, you might want to try it again.
