Hi, I need help getting MapPoint.Application to function in French WinNT SP5. On ALL other operating systems, the following works fine: Dim oMapP as MapPoint.Application set oMap = new MapPoint.application but on french WinNT SP5 I get error: ActiveX component can't create object. on all other machines the registry contains: HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\MapPoint.Application.EU.8 These are missing on the french machine. How do I install and register the missing dll's? Thanks

Are there any MapPoint entries in the registry? Does the MapPoint application work when you start it? Do you get any error messages?

It would appear that the installation didn't work correctly. Microsoft knowledge base article Q314590 speaks to problems with installation for MapPoint 2001. I didn't find much specific to the 2002 version. The ActiveX control should be installed with the rest of MapPoint. Try to un- and re-install MapPoint to see if the same problem occurs. Also, check the microsoft.public.mappoint newsgroup to see if anyone else has reported this problem.
