607 Don Discoe - February 22, 2002

I need to be able to export push pin data that is in a custom territory I have created. Just like I can by using the draw circle icon, make it a certain radius and then right-click and export to excel. Although this is nice I want to do the same thing in a custom territory because our sales territories are not perfectly round. When I do export the custom territory to excel it does output the territory name and zip codes included but I also want the push pin info exported too. Answer:

While Microsoft added the whole territory concept in MapPoint 2002, the implementation wasn't perfect. You've hit on one of those items that was not implemented completely. Territories are almost absent from the programming object model. Sorry, there is no simple way to do what you want.

Maybe MapPoint 2003. You can also offer this suggestion to the Microsoft Wish List.
