If I have a dataset that is linked to a spreadsheet, is it possible to unlink it?
My reason - I would like to update a spreadsheet, then update my map using the links between the datasets and the spreadsheet. Then, I would like to move some pushpins from one dataset to another, based on what I see on the map. Right now, because the datasets are linked to external data, I cant move a pushpin from one dataset to another. So, one solution would be to update my map using all the links, then Unlink the datasets, leaving me free to move individual pushpins from one data set to another.
Answer:
You are answering your own question. I love that. You could just do imports
rather than links. Or you could program all of the data access and avoid the
restrictions of the imports. This has its own issues, but it is infinitely
flexible. Sounds like you have a good handle on what you are trying to do
here.
