I am a new user to MapPoint and I am very excited about the potential. I am developing territory maps for more than 100 sales executives. I see how link a state, zip code, or county to a sales executive, but I am not sure how to link a mulitple number of states to a sales executive. This would be similiar to developing regions across state lines. Thanks for your help.

Answer:

When you are in territory mode, you can select an area in multiple states and add it to a specific territory. You can continue to select more area and add it to any existing territory that you select. [Click on a territory, select an area on the map, and then click the "Add to Territory" button.] But note: you can't split a state, if you are using that as the geographical unit for territories. You can only build territories up from the base unit that you choose.
