which is the transformation that MP use to convert geographical coordinates (latitude,longitude) to cartographic coordinate (X,Y) to draw the map? I have supposed that this was to Gauss Boaga, but it is not. thank you in advance

Whoa! I have no idea. You may want to ask this on the MapPoint newsgroup: microsoft.public.mappoint. I did a quick check of the documentation, but I was unable to find anything. Maybe one of the Microsoft people that monitor the newsgroup will be able to help.

I think MapPoint uses a sperical model though I have not personally verified this. If this is the case, then the usual trigonometry applies. In this model, the radius of the earth is typically cited as 3963 miles.
