we recently upgraded networked pcs from nt to 2000. since the upgrade only 20 users at a time can access a *.ptm that is located on a share drive. the 21st user accessing the *.ptm recieves te message, " not enough resources." if i exit mappoint for the 20th user, someone else can open the *.ptm. the *.ptm file has read and filescan access only. a few weeks ago we began to upgrade to mappoint 2002 and we still have the same problem.

Does this happen only when opening files from MapPoint? Or do you get the same when you put an Excel file on this same shared drive and have 21 users try to open it? I suspect it is a network share issue - maybe there's a maximum number of people that can connect to the shared drive.
