Can anyone tell me how to deploy mappoint over a network? I can install it locally but only the lucky ones have a cd.

Copy the CD's to a network drive and install from there. The Help file contains more detailed information, search for "Deploy MapPoint over a network".

But how can you read the Help file if you cannot install Mappoint because of the deploy over a network problem?

I have the same problem
HOw can I install it localy - when I run the setup.exe file I get the "cannot deploy over network"
I don't have the CD only crack !!!

Put the install cd in a server\pc and run:
msiexec /a d:\msmap\data.msi (where d is the cd drive letter).
This will create an image of the full installation that you can advertise through AD or just run setup from the location.

You just have to burn your crack on a cd... That's the easiest way ...
