How can I export maps from MapPoint as quality images suitable for use within an annual report?

Answer:

Reader R. Scott Randall suggests:

The best way to get a high quality screenshot from a program that only makes bitmaps (and not vector drawings) like MapPoint is to do a screencapture or "copy" from the highest screen resolution you can set your computer for. Most people run at 800x600pixels or 1024x768, but many video cards are capable of higher resolutions - mine can do 2048x1024 pixels. Remember to bump up the font size, or the text may seem small. Also remember not to scale the bitmapped image in photoshop except in increments of 100% or you will stretch or blur the pixels.
