I currently have Mappoint 2000 running on my PC. (Win2K) A co-worker sent me a ptm file from Mapoint 2002. When I try to open the file it gives me the following error. Mappoint cannot open this file. Please save your data in a different format, or consult Help for information about compatible formats. Do I need a conversion update or are they not compatible?

They're not compatible.. How much is in the ptm? It might be trivial to re-import or otherwise recreate the file in MapPoint 2000. Or, could the map be sent as a screenshot? Otherwise, you can start with the 2002 trial, included in the book. - Eric
