I am developing an application using Mappoint web services for routes between two points. If the origin and destination are within same state or adjoing states the application works fine but if they are far off I get the exception in the function myRouteService.CalculateSimpleRoute (myRouteServiceWayPoints, Nothing) where myRouteService is a route object and myRouteWayPoints are WayPoint objects and created correctly. The exception messsage is "The underlying connection was closed: An unexpected error occurred on a receive." Can any one help me out with this Thanks Lava Kumar

Hi Lava I'm experiencing the same problem from time to time. I've not found a solution, but I read somewhere that it could be caused by a proxy server or firewall. // Jes

Hi Lava, I am experiencing a similar problem. I have two MapPoint web applications on a web server. They were working well three days ago, but now has problems in GetMap. Every time it calls GetMap, it gets an error: The underlying connection was closed: An unexpected error occurred on a receive. although they can get a seccessful call of FindAddress. I also tried the applications on the developing computer, and they are working all OK. Do you have any clue? Your help will be greatly appreciated. Best regards! Xinhang Shen
