  MAPPOINT Q & A

Does MapPoint have the capability to plot zip code ranges or do I have to import each individual zip code one at a time? Our sales force territories are based on a range of zip codes (i.e. 30100-30199). I need to graphically show each reps territory on a large US map. Please e-mail me your response.

Answer:

What you need is an Excel spreadsheet with all zip codes in one column, and the territory name or code in the next column. Although there are a lot of zip codes, you can probably build this table without too much trouble.

Once you've done so, MapPoint will shade the zips by territory name, which should get you what you want.

We'll try to mock this up in our Gallery section in the next couple of days.

Update:
An example of this has finally been added to the Gallery!
