MapPoint .NET Sample Application
The MapPoint .NET sample application for devices allows the user to retrieve interactive maps, driving directions, and to find points of interest such as hotels or service stations on their Pocket PC. For the developer, it illustrates how to interact with an XML Web Service, while highlighting some of the advantages Web Services bring to traditional application development. MapPoint .NET is Microsoft’s first commercially available XML Web service, providing location intelligence to your applications, be they Web based, mobile, enterprise, or traditional desktop applications.
The sample application is written in VB.NET using the beta release of the Smart Device Extensions for Visual Studio .NET targeting the .NET Compact Framework. Read the full article.

MapPoint C# Sample Code and Examples
MPDemo is a program written by Wilfried Mestdagh that shows you how to use the most important API features using C#.
Using this application you can check out what you want to do and step with the debugger through it to see the code.
The code is written using separate classes in separate files as much as possible. Events are used at the places where a GUI update is needed.
You will get lifetime free upgrades of the source, even if the price will raise in future. Note that you must have Microsoft .NET version 2 installed to run the executable.
