Microsoft President/COO to Step Down
No direct change. Sources say the MapPoint Business Unit (which encompasses all of Microsoft's mapping/location products) still sits in the Business Tools Division which is part of Productivity and Business Services (PBS).
The Wall Street Journal reports that more autonomy and accountability
will be placed on the heads of the seven core divisions: Windows, server software, MSN, business solutions, home entertainment, the CE operating system, and PBS/knowledge management.
